Job Purpose

The Manager – Finance & Administration will be responsible for overseeing financial management, compliance, reporting, and administrative operations at Nayi Disha. The role requires expertise in FCRA and FUR regulations, ensuring compliance with financial and legal standards applicable to Indian NGOs. The candidate will work closely with leadership to streamline financial operations, optimize resource allocation, and enhance administrative efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping: Maintain ledgers, journals, and financial records; record daily transactions in Tally; reconcile bank statements.
  • Financial reporting: Prepare monthly/quarterly financial summaries for management and donors.
  • Budget support: Assist in drafting budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial plans.
  • Compliance: Ensure timely filing of statutory returns ESI,PF PT & TDS, maintain documentation for audits, and support donor reporting requirements.
  • Administrative support: Handle office correspondence, maintain records, assist with scheduling, and support procurement of office supplies.
  • Coordination: Liaise with program staff to track project expenses and ensure proper documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounts management (NGO or small business preferred).
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally,).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, email).
  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi and local language.
