What is ADHD? Has your child been diagnosed with it? It is possible you are hearing this term for the first time or know something about it in parts?

Please read and download the ADHD Factsheet shown above, to learn more about the signs, symptoms, causes, therapies and help you may need to understand and care for your child’s health and needs.

Remember, with good management practices and family involvement, children diagnosed with ADHD can lead a happy and good life. Additionally, you can also see these videos by Dr Harini Atturu about ADHD in Telugu.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: Special thanks to Consultant Developmental Pediatrician, Dr Sana Smriti who has offered expert advice and guidance in consolidating this information. We thank our volunteer Ms Sailaja Tadimeti for the time and effort taken towards the translation of this content from English to Telugu.

NOTE: As you check for signs and symptoms of learning disabilities in your child, please understand that these signs may vary from child to child. Every child is unique. No child will definitively exhibit all the symptoms. You can however aim to check if multiple signs described in this presentation fit the characteristics exhibited by your child, in the event of which a case for a learning disability may be suspected and assessed accordingly.

If you have questions about Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, or other intellectual disabilities, or have concerns about developmental delays in a child, the Nayi Disha team is here to help.
