Saaburi Clinic for Special Needs Children in Hyderabad is a Special School. They work with children and adults with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Saaburi is a multi-disciplinary assessment clinic with therapeutic services for children with special needs, Hyderabad. It is part of Shankar Foundation and is one of four special schools run by the foundation. It was started in 2005 with Smt. Shreedevi as one of the founders. Saaburi is housed in a three-floor building offering early intervention for children between ages 0-6 years, with developmental delays such as ASD, ADHD, Downs syndrome and Cerebral palsy. There are around 21 students and the teacher student ratio is 1:1. The centre has a school bus, physio equipment, lunch room, playground, wheel-chair friendly bathrooms, lift and multi-sensorial teaching, learning materials and activities. The multi-therapeutic approach includes physiotherapy, occupational therapy, sensory integration, behavioral therapy and special education using computers. The centre serves children with mild to moderate disability and aims to prepare the children for mainstream schools.
