There are a lot of us, trying to spread awareness in our own humble way. There are two ladies, both members of the group. They are doing a lot to spread awareness within the community, through homemade videos, for the fraternity and fellow mothers. Like charity, awareness too begins at home.

The first of them is Irfana Banu. She uploads videos of various sensory play activities with her kid. The videos are done as a wonderful professional job, and most importantly with a lot of love and passion. It is among the best I have seen on the net. I am sure that all moms, especially moms of kids with a recent diagnosis will benefit from her videos. She was uploading it on YT and sharing it on the FB groups, but for some crazy reason, YT has suspended her account. Sadly as she did not keep any backups, many of them are lost now. I request anyone who had downloaded the earlier ones to repost them. She has remade some of them. Now she has a FB page for these videos https://www.facebook.com/autismmommas/?fref=nf

The second mother is Smrithy Rajesh. She has done a course about autism and then worked wonderfully with her son. She has posted some lovely videos about how she is doing ABA, AAC (avaz), skating, badminton, and recently typing. The videos are really inspiring and again would benefit a lot of parents. I am saying this with conviction as there are very few instructional hands-on videos, and presumably very few in the Indian context. Her Youtube channel is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXWlcGOqvwpzmJyiYL8EgZA

Having had a YouTube channel where I was uploading a few (500 odd eventually) rare numbers of Rafi Sahab songs, I know the effort it takes. And mind you I was just converting mp3 to mp4 and uploading, here the ladies are planning, shooting, and editing the videos!

I have had the privilege of short interactions with them, albeit virtually. Both of them are homeschooling their kids, with a fair degree of success. The success is not just in academics or verbal behavior, it is overall holistic development (as evident in the videos also).

I believe both these mothers are path-breakers as I have not seen any other similar efforts of parents trying to teach therapy in a beautiful and inspiring way. In a country where many parents are short on acceptance and prefer to keep special needs under wraps, these two ladies are trying to help the fraternity. I salute them on behalf of the fraternity.

To me, this is spreading awareness rather than just endorsing autism speaks by lighting or wearing blue.
