To accurately identify a seizure episode, firstly it is important to understand the core definition of a seizure. Seizures are the transient occurrences of signs and/or symptoms due to abnormal, excessive or abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Epilepsy on the other hand is the disorder of the brain function characterised by recurring seizures.
