Open Basic Education or OBE

OBE offers elementary level education at three levels.

  1. OBE A: Education equivalent to classes 1 to 3
  2. OBE B: Education equivalent to classes 4 to 5
  3. OBE C: Education equivalent to classes 6 to 8

Secondary education

NIOS offers secondary level education that is courses equivalent to class 10

Senior secondary education

The open schooling program at the senior secondary level is equivalent to class 12 school programs.

Vocational programs

Apart from the academic programs, NIOS offers a wide range of vocational programs for individuals who find it difficult to cope with academics or those who want to pursue vocational courses.
