Learning to fly is a booklet for the parents of the person with special support needs for a time when the child is growing more independent and leaving to lead a life of his or her own.

The book contains activities that the service foundation for People with an Intellectual Disability (KVPS) has carried out in peer support groups for loved one’s in the foundation’s activities for families going through changes in life situations. From this book on learning to fly, you may choose the activities that suit you and carry them out in the order that you like, in your own way. The activities in this booklet may be done by discussing, drawing, writing or even scrapbooking.

You can also check out the booklet on This is how I manage! An assessment of my need for help and support.
