It is important to nurture the communication skills of children as they grow so that they can express themselves. Both verbal and non-verbal means represent some of the ways of communication. It is important to ensure that the intervention happens at home. Please make sure that learning process of your child is not limited to teachings gathered at school or therapy centre.

The key tips for communicating with children with disabilities includes gaining children attention, checking one’s own language and spending time to play with children every day. Play is an opportunity to stimulate and build your child’s language skills. The way a child plays is also a strong indicator of their progress.
