UDID for people with disabilities is an identification card for a person with a disability (PWD). The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities initiated the Unique Disability Identity Document (UDID) project. It aims at building an integrated system for the issuance of UDID and Disability Certificate.

The card includes the demographic details and disability-related information of PWD across the country. A person having a disability which is under RPWD Act 2016 is eligible for the UDID.

Individuals with developmental disabilities require a UDID Card. So that they can avail benefits and concessions under various schemes instituted by the Government of India, using this card.
