The government has implemented a number of schemes and allowances for individuals with developmental disabilities. The purpose of these schemes is to promote the welfare of individuals diagnosed with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities. This presentation highlights a few Central Government benefits that are applicable to individuals with disabilities** of Indian origin. In addition, your State may have added benefits for you according to where you live and the documents you carry that affirm your child’s diagnosis.

This presentation focuses on a number of schemes. For instance, educational schemes, concessions, loans, scholarships and skill training opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities.
