Hearing impairment refers to any degree of hearing loss, which has occurred due to a problem in a part of the ear, including the inner, middle, and outer ears, or the nerves needed for hearing.<\/span><\/p>\n

Accepting your child\u2019s diagnosis<\/b><\/h2>\n

Every family handles their child\u2019s diagnosis in their own way. But, acceptance of a child\u2019s diagnosis will eventually lead the parent towards creating a roadmap to help the child with his\/her difficulties. In order to do so parents must seek help from experts in the field as early as possible, together with whom they must set out to create a goal-oriented intervention plan for their child that fits the needs of the child while accommodating the family dynamics too.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What can you do next?<\/b><\/h2>\n

It is difficult to not be worried about your child\u2019s development and their future. But it is equally important to try to come to terms with your child\u2019s diagnosis, so that you can start planning and working with your child with hearing loss.<\/span><\/p>\n

Early intervention plays a crucial role in the improvement of your child\u2019s hearing as well as development of language skills.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Experts including audiologists, speech therapists and special educators can guide and help guide parents to work with their child.<\/span><\/p>\n
