It is caused by an early injury or difference in the developing brain \u2014 usually before, during, or shortly after birth. cerebral palsy is <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not progressive<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which means it doesn\u2019t get worse over time.
