विकलांगता से प्रभावित व्यक्ति के माता पिता /देखभालकर्ता के लिए 2022  के बजट में नए कर नियम प्रस्तावित और शामिल किए गए हैं। नए कर को 80DD  के अंतर्गत शामिल करने का प्रस्ताव है। इसके अनुसार यदि विकलांग व्यक्ति के माता पिता विकलांग व्यक्ति के हित में बचत जीवन योजना खरीदते हैं जिसमें बादवाला व्यक्ति लाभार्थी है ,इस परिस्थिति में माता पिता और अभिभावक सकल आय से छूट के पात्र हैं  (कर -कुछ शर्तों के अधीन )
