Intervening early after diagnosis will help you understand your child’s needs and help him/her lead a happy life. DSM-V guidelines recommend that a diagnostic assessment of a child for ADHD be done only after age 7. But, if you spot signs of ADHD in your child please visit a psychiatrist as soon as possible to get a full assessment of your child and get a proper diagnosis.
