Tips to increase nutritional intake in children with Cerebral Palsy(CP)

Seek help from a speech therapist to train the parent of means to help feed a child.Ask your nutritionist if your child can be fed through a gavage tube. A gavage tube can be used to provide nutrients through the nasal channel. Intravenous feeding is not applicable for feeding a child with brain damage, but can be used to deliver nutrients to a child with gut problems. Success of physical therapy also depends on how much food the child consumes that is required for muscle growth, strength and function.
