  • First Aid of Seizure-
  • With in 5 minutes of Seizure:
    • Stay calm
    • Move to recovery position
    • Away from harmful objects
    • Don’t put anything in mouth
    • Don’t restrain
    • Calculate seizure time
  • If seizure does not stop in 5 minutes:
    • Midazolam
    • Attach nasal spray
    • Spray in the nostrils
  • If child is non- responsive to Midazolam- Rush to the nearest hospital

Please use this infographic to understand the Dos and Don’ts of your immediate response to a child having a seizure episode. This infographic can be used as a handy first aid for epilepsy. These guidelines are suggested measures to be taken to stop/regulate a seizure. However, in cases where an emergency situation is unresponsive to first-aid measures, please seek immediate help by visiting the nearest hospital emergency care.
