Provider Description/Summary: 

Autism Welfare Society is a special school exclusively for boys with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Multiple Disabilities. Special focus is given to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. It aims to provide holistic development & equal opportunities to autistic & children with special needs by the way of special education, vocational training and physiotherapy. Residential facility is also provided to children. Around 20 students are enrolled in the school which includes residential as well as non-residential. Apart from special education, children are also made to do extracurricular activities like dance, music, yoga, drawing and are taken on frequents field trips. The staff consists of well trained special educators, physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists among various other volunteers and helpers. The school provides a school bus and has physio-equipments. Concession is given to children with weak economic background. There are no additional fees for the therapy sessions as they are already included in the school fees. The School creates awareness, counsels and supports the parents and families of children with autism and multiple disabilities.
